Mods not showing up?
Check that you have installed mods properly:
Step-By-Step Checklist / Tutorial:
0. GAME VERSION:
Is your game up to date? My mods work properly only on the Most Recent versions of the game.
1. ARCHIVES & EXTRACTION:
Mods are made of .package and .TS4SCRIPT files.
Oftentimes, mods are downloaded as .zip files containing .package and / or .TS4SCRIPT files. Those .zip files are archives that must be extracted to get the contents out.
Are all .package and / or .TS4SCRIPT files for the mod you want to install extracted from archive files? (no .zip or .rar in mods folder).
Example:

If you don’t know how to extract .zip archive files, look up “How to extract .zip archive files” in your Internet browser.
2. FOLDER DEPTH:
To install Sims 4 mods, you must place them in the “Mods” folder contained in the Sims 4 folder in the EA folder in your Documents folder.
Are all files of the mod you’re installing directly in your Mods folder OR in one subfolder in it, but no deeper? This is critical for script mods to work.
Example:

3. GAME SETTINGS:
To use mods, you must properly enable them in your game settings.
Are cc mods AND script mods both enabled in game settings? (must check BOTH) – in game, in options, under ‘other settings’
Example:

4. VERSIONS:
When updating a mod, you must remove files from the old version of it, or things will break.
Do you have only ONE version of the mod you’re installing at a time and is that version compatible with your game version? Sometimes, filenames change with versions; make sure you didn’t end up with several versions at once.
5. REQUIREMENTS:
Some mods have extra requirements that must be fulfilled for them to work (having a certain pack, external resources, etc).
Did you check if this mod has any requirements (packs, utilities, etc) and if so did you get the required files too? This can only be figured out by reading info on download pages.
Missing text on some options? You probably have old files in:
– Check for old versions still in somewhere in your mods folder on top of the new version.
– Check that you don’t have any outdated translation files.
Mod-Specific Additional Thoughts:
- RPO:
- Make sure you have the required Core too, not just the individual mods.
